Homestay

Homestay

A home from home

It is impossible to describe a typical host family. They may be grandparents, single parents or young couples. Their houses may be big or small, luxurious, or comfortable. We can only describe the one attribute that unifies them all: “The desire, time, and ability to give a warm welcome to students from other nations.” As long as families have this requisite and have passed our recruitment process then we welcome them as host families.

We believe Homestay presents a greater variety of cultural linguistic opportunity than offered by residential stay.
  • Hosts enhance the stay culturally, socially, and linguistically.
  • Students absorb English in a relaxed environment.
  • Chatting to families gives rise to spontaneous exchanges.
  • Students are immersed from the moment they arrive.
  • Host families are keen to impart quirky and idiomatic phrases.
Whether their trip lasts 3 days or 3 weeks, our experienced families help students build confidence.

More than a guest

Students appreciate the warm welcome they receive.
  • Each student has a unique experience.
  • Our hosts and students enjoy the cultural exchange.
  • Students enjoy traditional British food and interesting mealtime conversations.
  • Families are carefully chosen based on what we know about each student.
  • Students are treated as another member of the family.
We have a longstanding relationship with our hosts. Many have been part of our organisation for 10+ years.

Perfect beyond expectations. Angela is a great host, she did everything she could and even more to make us feel at home. I've never had such a nice host family in 20 years
